The iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign is a classic can’t-miss photo opportunity. Designed by visual artist and graphic designer Betty Willis, the sign has been in place since 1959 and is in the State Register of Historic Places. In recent years, a parking lot has been added (and upgraded twice to accommodate tourist traffic!), as well as a crosswalk with traffic signals so getting your perfect snap is as safe as ever.

Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay

Location: 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV

Located high up on the 63rd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Foundation Room is a lounge bar with the perfect patio for photography. Dress code: Business casual.

Skyfall Lounge

Location: 3940 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV

With a 180 degree view of the city, the Skyfall Lounge offers some of the best views of the Strip. Perched atop the Delano, this is the perfect place to catch the sunset and capture some truly beautiful photos of the Strip from either indoors or on the patio. Dress code: nightlife attire.

Fountains of Bellagio

Bellagio Fountains Las Vegas

Location: 3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, United States

The Fountains of Bellagio are one of the most iconic tourist attractions on the Strip. Composed of more than a thousand individual jets of water, the Fountains of Bellagio are self-described as “the most ambitious water feature ever conceived” and have multiple showings each day of the week. Make sure you check out their schedule to ensure you catch one of their magical music & light shows.

Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck at Paris Las Vegas

Location: 3655 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, United States

You can see a lot of iconic city landmarks from other states and even countries in Las Vegas. From Las Vegas to New York-New York and on to Paris, there is yet another iconic world landmark that you can find at half-size on the Strip–the Eiffel Tower. While it may be smaller than the original, at 46 stories high with a 360 degree view the Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck still provides some of the best photo ops in Las Vegas.

High Roller Observation Wheel

Location: 3545 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, United States

See the Strip from the world’s largest observation wheel—the High Roller measures up at a staggering 550 feet tall. You’ll have plenty of time to take in the incredible views and get all the snapshots you want from inside a temperature-controlled glass cabin.

TRAVEL TIP: The High Roller cabins do not have bathrooms and it takes 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete a rotation, so use your best judgement when imbibing.

The STRAT SkyPod & Observation Deck

Location: 2000 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89104, United States

Grab photos of the Strip from the sky while keeping your feet on the ground at the tallest structure in town—the STRAT. While the structure itself is 1,149 feet tall, you can still get a picture-perfect view of the Strip, the city, and the desert beyond in and on accessible observation decks, restaurants, and lounges which are between 909 and 830 feet off the ground.

Red Rock Canyon

Location: 1000 Scenic Loop Dr, Las Vegas, NV

For the hikers at heart, Red Rock Canyon is so close to the Strip that you can see it from certain vantage points, and vice versa. A stunning destination on its own, Red Rock Canyon also boasts an incredible photo opportunity of Las Vegas from some of its trails. The best view of Las Vegas can be seen from the Calico Tanks Trail—a 2.2 mile trail that takes approximately 2 hours to complete and is described as moderately strenuous with some rocky scrambles.

TRAVEL TIP: It can get very hot at Red Rock Canyon in the summer, so make sure you check the weather forecast, come prepared for the heat with the appropriate gear and supplies, and start your hike early in the day.

Helicopter Tour

For a truly sky-high view of the Strip and the city, consider an aerial adventure. Hop aboard a helicopter tour to see and capture Sin City from a bird’s eye view, creating unforgettable memories and some of the best and most impressive pictures of the city you can get.
