We did the Grand Canyon West Rim Bus Tour and it was great. Gia was an excellent guide with lots of info, and Wayne made sure we got ice water at each stop. Bucket list trip that didn’t disappoint!

The tour narrator on the bus was great. The helicopter down to the canyon was the best, and the boat ride on the Colorado River was top notch.

Travel Planning Tips

Why Take a Rafting Tour?

For the ultimate Grand Canyon adventure, whitewater rafting puts you on the Colorado River itself, running 40 miles of class 3 and 4 rapids at the West Rim.

This is the only one-day whitewater rafting tour available from Las Vegas, which also means you skip the National Park Service's rafting permit lottery. Trips depart from Peach Springs, Arizona, on Hualapai land, and include a picnic lunch on the banks of the Colorado River plus time to explore Travertine Canyon and its waterfalls.

An optional helicopter flight can carry you back up to the rim at the end, and a self-drive option saves about $200. Rafting runs seasonally from March 15 to October 31, and riders must be at least 8 years old.
